A camp catering to Scouts with special needs.

Friday September 21 to Monday September 24 2018
Treetops Scout Camp, Riddells Creek

Eligability

Any youth member with special needs is eligible.
Youth members should be accompanied by a companion/carer who must be competent to take complete charge of their personal care and behaviour on all activities at all times.

camp fees

Covers food, accommodation and activities.
$90 full time participant (this also applies to companions/carers)
$55 for peg fed (nil food) participants
$25 for day participants on Saturday and Sunday

Accommodation

Youth members and their companions will be sleeping in the Pack Holiday Centre or tents.

Activities

Main activities will be arranged to cover a wide range of capabilities. There will also be a number of optional activities which youth members can do at their own leisure.

Activity Patrols

Youth members will work in Patrols made up of two or three participants plus companions/carers (plus extra helpers if necessary).

‘Dream Award’

All participants are eligible to achieve the ‘Dream Award’. At least three activities must be attempted.

Medical needs/First aid

It should be noted that special needs people are not usually sick people, nevertheless there are sometimes complicated medical regimes that will need attention and suitable facilities will be available. First Aid will also be available 24/7 if necessary.
