Eligibility Criteria
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Scouts
- Must not have had their 15th birthday as at January. 3 2022 i.e. Date of Birth after January 3 2007.
- No extension to this age limit is allowed
- Must be a current registered youth member at the time of application and through until at least 14th January 2022
- Must, gave met the requirements by December 1 2021 for either:
- Program Essentials Milestone 1, as well as Outdoor Adventure Skills Stage 3 in each of Bushcraft, Bushwalking and Camping
- or Pioneer badge
- Must have completed 10 nights camping in the outdoors with the Unit or Patrol, as a Scout. Four of those nights must be consecutive and camping with family or school is not considered within the ten nights.
- Must have approval from the Unit Council
- Must have consent from their parents/guardian
- Must be considered by their parents/guardians and Unit Council to be of both sufficient maturity and good behaviour to successfully participate in the Jamboree
Venturers
May Apply as Junior Service Leaders
- Must be registered and invested as a youth member at the time of application and through to at least January 14 2022
- Must be 15 years of age with at least six months service as a Venturer, before the opening day of the Jamboree, January 3 2022, i.e Date of Birth on or before January 3 2007
- Must not have progressed to Rovers before the end of the Jamboree, i.e not before January 15 2022
- If the Venturer turns 18 years old before or during the Jamboree, they must also comply with the requirements at Point seven below for adults attending Jamboree.
- Must have completed either
- The Program Essentials Introduction to Section for Venturer Scouts, as well as Stage three in each of Bushcraft, Bushwalking and Camping
- Venturing Skills Award
- Must have the desire to provide service to Scouts
- Must be recommended by the Unit Council as being of excellent character, a good role model to Scouts as has the skills and abilities to undertake the activity (or other tasks) nominated on the application form
- Must have consent from parents/guardians
Rovers
- Registered members at the time of application who are a member of a Rover Crew for the duration of the Jamboree, with registration valid through to January 24 2022, will be accepted as Service Leaders
- Must not be older than 26 years, at January 14 2022
- Must have completed either:
- The Program Essentials Introduction to Section for Rover Scouts, as well as Stage three in each of Bushcraft, Bushwalking and Camping
- or Squire Training Badge
- Be recommended by their Unit Council as being of excellent character, a good role model to younger Youth Members, and have the skills and abilities to undertake the activity (or other tasks) as nominated on the application form.
- Be ready to cope with the physical requirements of the event.
Line Leaders
- Must hold a Certificate of Adult Leadership and Jamboree Unit Leaders must hold a Wood Badge in the Scout Section at September 30 2021, with registration valid through to January 14 2022
- Be approved by the Contingent Leader in line with Victorian Contingent Policy.
- Be ready to cope with the physical requirements of the event.
Service Leaders and Other Adult Supporters (incl Adult Helpers & ASF)
- Must hold a Certificate of Adult Membership at September 30 2021, with registration valid through to January 14 2022
- Be approved by the Contingent Leader in line with Victorian Contingent Policy
- Be ready to cope with the physical demands of the event
Day Workers
- A day worker is defined as a person affiliated with Scouting who provides services to the Jamboree on a part time basis.
- Must hold a Certificate of Adult Membership at September 30 2021, with registration valid through to January 14 2022
- Be approved by the Contingent Leader in line with Victorian Contingent Policy
- Be ready to cope with the physical demands of the event

All adults (including Rovers and Venturers over 18 years old)
- Must have completed before 30th September 2021, and within 3 years of 14th January 2022, the WHS Scouting and Child Safe Scouting eLearning module
- Must by 30th September 2021 hold a current Working With Children Check Card, valid through to at least 14 January 2022
- Must have completed by 30th September 2021 and within 5 years of 14th January 2022, a National Police Records Check
- Must agree to the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct
All Victorian Applicants
- Must be part of the Victorian Contingent and pay the Contingent fee.
- The applicants Group Leader, LIC or responsible Commissioner must “Accept” the applicant as a suitable member of the Victorian Contingent.
- Acceptance of the online application will be confirmation of compliance with the requirements in sections 1 to 7 above.
- The Contingent reserves the right to refuse any application, in which case a full refund will be made.
