Gilwell Park Bushwalking
There are heaps of locations in and around Clifford Park for youth members to complete their Bushwalking Stages 1-4. For more information about requirements for Bushwalking, visit Scouts|Terrain.

Stage 1
At this stage, youth members only needs to complete an hour-long walk.
You can use this document to help plan you walk.
Find a number of walks around Gilwell Park here. The most suitable for Stage 1 are the Green and Orange walks.
Stage 2
At this stage, youth members must complete 10km in total.

Find a number of walks around Gilwell Park here. The boundary walk around Gilwell Park is approximately 6km, or you can take multiple short walks around the Park.
There is a navigational activity located on Boys Field. You can either bring compasses with you, or book compasses when making your camp booking. This activity would cover off the I can statement I can use a compass to find basic directions DO section of stage two.
Stage 3
At this stage, youth members need to complete at least one six hour walk. As well as run a small navigational activity for their fellow Scouts.

Find a number of walks around Gilwell Park here. A good option for Stage 3 is walking to Kurth Klin Regional Park from Gilwell Park.
Stage 4
In this stage, youth members must complete and overnight hike, carrying all their gear. The youth members are expected to complete two full days of walking, with six hours of activity each day.

- Shiprock Falls to Gilwell Park, then back to Shiprock Falls.
- Shiprock Falls to Gilwell Park, then Gilwell to Gembrook or the reverse.
