Treetops Bushwalking
There are heaps of locations around Treetops for youth members to complete their Bushwalking Stages 1-4. For more information about requirements for Bushwalking, visit Scouts|Terrain.
Stage 1
At this stage, youth members only needs to complete an hour-long walk.

The perfect hike for Stage 1 is the Conglomerate Gully Nature Reserve near Treetops Scout Camp, it is an easy 2.9km walk.
Stage 2
At this stage, youth members must complete 10km in total.

For longer walks, Macedon Regional Park and Mount Charlie Flora Reserve are nearby. Although transport to and from the walks will need to be organised.
Stage 3
At this stage, youth members need to complete at least one six hour walk. As well as run a small navigational activity for their fellow Scouts.

Stage 4
In this stage, youth members must complete and overnight hike, carrying all their gear. The youth members are expected to complete two full days of walking, with six hours of activity each day.

For longer walks, Macedon Regional Park and Mount Charlie Flora Reserve are nearby. It is possible to camp at the Conglomerate Valley Flora Reserve. However, it's important to note that there are no designated campsites within the reserve, which means you will have to bring all your water. Additionally, there are no toilets available within the reserve.
