Scoutski | Sunday 5th July 2026 – Thursday 9th July 2026 | Mt Baw Baw
In 2026 ScoutSki is coming back for an epic 4.5 day adventure. Scouts from all across Victoria will come together at Mt Baw Baw from 5-9 July 2026. This event will provide several OAS opportunities including snow shelter construction, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and downhill skiing or snowboarding. In 2026 we will again have patrols supported by Venturer mentors.
Applications for Scouts will open on the 1st of March 2026. EOI applications for Venturer mentors and leaders will also open on the 1st of March.

National Alpine School | Friday 7th August 2026 – Saturday 15th August 2026 | Bogong High Plains
National Alpine School will be at the Bogong Rover Chalet on the 7-15th August 2026. The course is open to Rovers and Leaders seeking to become a Guide in one of the alpine streams or improve their skills in leading youth members in alpine environments. Applicants should have experience skiing or bushwalking.
Iglute | Friday 21st August – Sunday 23rd August 2026 | Mt Stirling
The long-standing IGLUTE introductory snow-camping weekend enables Venturers
and linking Scouts to learn basic snow craft skills, snow camping and to try
cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on Mt Stirling’s trails. The weekend includes
workshops, training sessions and trips to the summit.

Scouts from across Victoria will come together for 4 days of snow activities and fun.
Activities will include snowball fights, snow man building competition, igloo building,
snow shoeing, cross country skiing and downhill skiing or snowboarding.
This year, patrols with be supported by Venturer Mentors and Senior Scouts.
The mentors will take a lead in the running of activities, enabling the Venturer’s to work towards Alpine OAS 5, while getting loads of free time for skiing and fun.

WF Waters Venturer Weekend | Friday 25th – Sunday 27th July 2025| Mt Baw Baw
The Alpine Team, in conjunction with the WF Waters Rover Crew will be running 2 days of
downhill skiing or snowboarding to facilitate OAS 4 downhill / snowboarding signoffs.

Leader Training - Cross-Country Skiing / Snowshoeing & Snow Camping
| Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd August 2025 | Mt Stirling
There are two training streams on offer, Safe Participant Cross-country Skiing,
with the option to complete Trained Participant with further bookwork.
Also on offer is Safe Participant Snowshoeing which includes an
introduction to snow camping workshop.

Rover Cross Country Weekend | Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd August 2025 | Mt Stirling
Grab some members from your crew or come along and join other snow
enthusiasts for a weekend of cross-country skiing, split boarding or
snowshoeing and snow camping while being supported by Alpine Guides.

Leader Training - Alpine | Friday 29th – Sunday 31st August 2025 | Mt Baw Baw
This course teaches basic alpine skills and downhill skiing / snowboarding
knowledge, to enable you to confidently take your unit into a resort for alpine
activities. After the completing the weekend, to achieve Trained
Participant – Alpine, involves planning an alpine activity for your youth or unit.
