Sunday 5th July to Thursday 9th July 2026 at Mt Baw Baw
Scouts from across Victoria will travel together to the amazing alpine ski village of Mt Baw Baw for four days of snow and alpine activities. All Scouts will be able to sign off alpine level 4 in their OAS.
Based out of both the Scouts Victoria Alpine Adventure Centre and WF Waters Rover Ski Lodge, Scouts will get a chance to experience a unique Scouting experience not available anywhere else in Australia.
Only 55 spots available for this amazing alpine camp! Groups may not have more than 6 youth attend. Youth attending from one group will be allocated a spot by a first in first served basis. Any additional youth from that group will go on the waiting list.
Applications for Scouts opened on the 1st of March 2026 at 9am. A $400 deposit is required on booking and the full balance of $800 will be due on the 1st of June 2026. Make sure you review the Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

Costs
Approx Cost is $800^, this covers all food, transport, accommodation, and activities.
$400 Deposit due when booking. Remainder due 1 June 2026.
^Extra cost for snowboarding may apply
What's included in the cost?
- Transport from Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne (incl. resort entry)
- Accomodation on mountain
- All meals and snacks
- Toboggan session in the resort's toboggan park
- Snow shoe hire
- Cross country ski hire
- Toboggan hire
- 2 day lift pass
- 2 hour group lesson in either downhill skiing or snowboarding
- 2 day downhill ski or snowboard hire* (extra charge for snowboarding may apply)
- Helmet hire
Activities include:
- Snowball fights and snowman building competition
- Alpine survival skills including snow shelter and igloo building
- Snow shoeing
- Cross country skiing
- 2 days downhill skiing or boarding (including a 2 hour group lesson from professional instructors)
Venturers & Senior Scout Mentors
This year, patrols with be supported by Venturer Mentors and Senior Scouts. EOI for Venturer mentor applications CLICK HERE
Being a Mentor is a great way for Venturers and Senior Scouts to work towards Alpine OAS 5, where they need to be working with Scouts working on OAS 3 and 4.
The mentors will take a lead in the running of the snowshoeing and the cross-country skiing, they will also help the patrols in the Lodge. The mentors will also be invited to a training weekend at Mt Baw Baw in the green season.
The Mentors with get loads of free time for skiing and fun, and be housed in their own lodge. Mentors apply by EOI or invite.

Leaders
Applications for Venturer mentors & leaders is only via EOI. This EOI will close on the 31 March 2026. All leaders must be registered with Scouts Victoria as a Rover, Leader, Adult Supporter or Fellowship.
