$1.375 million contribution to the new 1st Point Cook Scout Hall
Deputy Premier and Education Minister James Merlino has announced a $1.375 million contribution to the new 1st Point Cook Scout Hall, to be built in the grounds of Carranballac College’s P-9 Boardwalk Campus. Scouting will provide $300,000. The new facility will be used before and after school for child care, during the day for classes, and at nights and weekends by 1st Point Cook. It will also be available for community hire. Construction of the 1st Point Cook Scout and Community Centre will begin in early 2018 and take six months.
