Scout Heritage Victoria's new home!
Scout Heritage Victoria's new home in Bentleigh East was officially opened on Sunday November 12 by John Pearn AO, RFD, the National President of Scouts Australia, to a large gathering of Scouting members and other visitors.
Our inaugural Scout Adventure Centre, it has an exciting array of interactive activities for youth members, and exhibits depict various themes of Victorian Scouting from its inception in 1908. The displays are supplemented by interactive media and quizzes for each Section, allowing youth members to find clues to the aspects of history from the panels and display for their award scheme.
Highlights on display include an old-style Scout campsite and Scouts pushing their Trek Cart to camp.
The centre is now open for Section visits in the evenings and at weekends and also Six and Patrol activity visits for more intensive activities by contacting the Booking Secretary.
