Lake Mountain

The following areas and trails have been assessed as part of the resort boundary. Leaders only need Certificate of Proficiency (Including Scouting Adventure) and must be in direct supervision of youth members at all time. Approval is required only by Group Leader. 

For other areas of map leaders need Trained Participant (Cross Country Skiing Patrolled) or Trained Participant (Snow Shoe Day Tour).

Overnight trips to Keppel Hut will need both Trained Participant (Ski/Snowshoe) and Trained Participant (Bushwalking Tracked Environments) as the hut location is below the alpine snow line and ski guide level is not needed. The trail down to Kepple Hut is not a ski trail and best done with snow shoes. 

Trails in the resort boundary are all the green trails below Helicopter Flat. Home Trail, Echo Flat Trail, Taggerty Return, Race Loop, Snow Shoe Trail and the two ski school practice areas.
