Snorkelling Guide Skills Workshop
Aimed at skills as a potential Assistant Guide, Guide for Snorkelling activities, toward Outdoor Adventure Skills Stages 5 and 6 Snorkelling, Scout Scuba Victoria is running a two day skills course encompassing:
SISCAQU002 – Perform Basic Water Rescues
SISOSNK001 – Snorkel
SISOSNK002 – Lead Snorkelling Activities
As well as registering with us, you must be registered with Scouts Australia Institute of Training to gain recognition for the competencies achieved.

Participants need to be 15 years+ and will need to demonstrate a 200 metres swim and a float of 10 minutes, both unassisted, as well as have previous snorkelling experience.
The course will encompass presentations in the 4th Williamstown hall on Saturday morning, followed by three ‘in water’ Sessions Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Cost $5 for tea, coffee and snacks at Willi Hall.
What you’ll need:
Writing gear and a folder for the hall portion Swimmers, Rashie and a Wetsuit (3mm ok) Mask Fins and Snorkel Towel, water bottle, sunscreen broad hat, change of clothes, your own lunch (for both days).
Access to your own transport between 4th Willi Hall and the Swim and Life Saving Club – cnr Victoria and the Esplanade.
There is a small outdoor café at the S&LSC where tea, coffee and lunch can be purchased on Sunday.
