Where will OneCamp be held?

Swan Valley is the home of OneCamp 2026 – Discover!

Swan Valley Adventure Centre is a 36 hectare event venue, privately operated by the Anglican Diocese of Perth. The site has a mix of shady and open camping sites, many existing buildings, a swimming pool, and two huge green ovals. The site hosted OneCamp 2023 too!

Adventures, Mini Expeditions and Expeditions will be held at locations across Western Australia.

What activities are on offer at OneCamp?

OneCamp offers participants everything Scouting has to offer across nine program elements. Each age section will tackle a different set of program elements to reflect the journey along their personal progression.

How many people will be at OneCamp?

We’re estimating between 1,700 and 2,200 people will take part, with hundreds more to visit the site for the One Program Day on Friday, April 17 2026.

Will all participants be sleeping in tents?

That’s right! All participants at OneCamp will be sleeping in tents.

How will we get to and from OneCamp?

Interstate participants and Adult Leaders/Supporters need to get themselves to and from Perth.

However, the Victorian Team are organising a group booking for the Perth flights. See https://scoutsvictoria.com.au/activities-events/events/onecamp/flights-to-perth/

Transfers to and from Perth Airport and OneCamp are included in your event fee.

Will I be allowed to take electronic devices?

Participants can choose to bring their electronic device, should they wish to.

Your OneCamp Unit Council may create some specific guidelines around appropriate times for use of electronic devices.

Your device is your responsibility. If you’re worried about looking after your device, we suggest you leave it at home.

Large portable electronic devices such as laptops, iPads and portable electronic gaming devices should not be brought to OneCamp.

Remember, the Scout Law and Promise always apply whilst you’re at OneCamp. Participants are not to use their personal electronic devices or cameras in a sleeping tent, inside toilet/shower facilities or in other changing areas. Participants who choose to break this rule may find their device or camera confiscated for the duration of the event, and, depending on the circumstances, may be asked to leave the event. Confiscated devices and cameras will be stored at Event HQ and handed back to parents at the end of the OneCamp.

OneCamp is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you don’t want to be on your phone for the entire camp!

Will the different age sections get separated?

At various times throughout OneCamp the Sections (Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers) will participate in the event program together, at other times they’ll do activities separately. For example, Scouts attending a Mini Expedition will share that experience with other Scout section participants, as the Mini Expeditions are only available for Scouts.

Who will be in my OneCamp Unit?

All participants from Joey Scouts to Rover Scouts will camp together in OneCamp Units, supported by adult Leaders. OneCamp Units will camp together, eat together, tackle activities together, and support wellbeing together. OneCamp Units will be grouped together to form OneCamp Villages.

OneCamp Units will be formed by pairing Scout Groups across Western Australia. In most instances, a metro Scout Group will be paired with a regional Scout Group, it’s a fantastic way to meet new people from across our state! You might even host a Patrol of interstate participants within your OneCamp Unit!

The adult support team in a OneCamp Unit is led by a Line Leader, who leads a team of Assistant Line Leaders. Each Assistant Line Leader is assigned a special responsibility, such as program, logistics, administration, or wellbeing.

OneCamp Units may choose to nominate a OneCamp Unit Leader, a youth member with a leadership role in the OneCamp Unit, such as leading the OneCamp Unit Council.

Where will I sleep?

OneCamp participants will sleep in tents with other youth members of their OneCamp Unit. It is recommended that youth members bring a sleeping mat on which to sleep.

What do I need to bring to OneCamp?

You’ll need personal camping gear that you’d usually take on a camp, but perhaps a few extra pairs of socks and jocks, as OneCamp is longer than a normal Scout Camp.

We recommend that youth members bring sleeping mats on which to sleep.

The WA host groups forming the OneCamp Unit MAY be able to provide stretchers for visiting adults, however, there is no guarantee. This will need to be determined prior to the camp.

A gear list will be available closer to the event.

Do interstate participants need to form their own Patrols?

We will be adding interstate participants to OneCamp Units, most likely based on their home Scout Group (e.g. keeping home Scout Groups together in OneCamp Units). We do not need them to be in Patrols, we can add single participants or any Group size to a OneCamp Unit.

Can interstate adults attend?

We would welcome the support of Leaders and Adult Helpers from Victoria. All you need to do is get yourself to Perth Airport.

How do I get there?

Victorian participants and volunteers have the opportunity to signup for flights as part of a group booking with Virgin Airlines. The main flights are departing for Perth on the morning of Saturday April 11 and Tuesday April 14 (our joeys can go a day early). We will need a commitment by November 30 and a $100 deposit by December 7. The balance of the flight costs is due on January 31, 2026. Whether you travel with other Victorians using the Group Travel package or make your own way to Perth you need to arrive on the day your OneCamp adventure starts. Everyone will be met at Perth Airport by our Welcoming Team and provided with transfers to and from the OneCamp site. Please note, your camp fees do not cover the costs of these flights.

I am a Scout now, but will be moving up to the Venturer Scout Unit before OneCamp. What age section will I attend OneCamp with?

Generally speaking, youth members will attend OneCamp with the age section they will be a member of at the time of the event. For a youth member who is a Scout now but will be a Venturer Scout by the time they attend OneCamp in April 2026, they would attend as a Venturer Scout.

The eligibility criteria have been structured so that a youth member can work towards the relevant eligibility criteria regardless of the age section they’re currently in. For example, a Cub Scout who will join the Scout Unit before OneCamp can work towards Outdoor Adventure Skills Camping Stage 3 whilst they are still in the Cub Scout Section.

Health & Wellbeing

I have some modified diet requirements. Will they be catered for?

The following modified diets will be catered for at OneCamp 2026

Vegetarian, egg free, nut free, gluten free and lactose free. Modified diets need to be identified in the Online Event Application System. Due to the volume of participants attending, we will not be able to cater for dietary choices or supply specific brand requests.

If you have any questions, please reach out as soon as possible by emailing onecamp@scoutswa.com.au.

I have a support worker. Will they be able to attend to?

Support workers can attend OneCamp to support youth members. Please email us at onecamp@scoutswa.com.au to start a conversation.

I'm worried that it might all be a bit too big and overwhelming. How can I cope?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, please tell your Patrol Leader or a Leader. They are there to help you have a fun experience at OneCamp. Maybe you need to take a break, and do something quieter in a chill out zone, or get an early night. There will be quieter spaces at OneCamp for you to relax in when you need some chill time.

Is the site accessible?

Accessible facilities are available at our OneCamp site.

If there is something we can do to support your engagement in OneCamp, please get in touch as soon as possible by emailing onecamp@scoutswa.com.au.

Are the activities accessible?

While we will strive to make all activities accessible to everyone, accessibility will vary from one activity to another depending on the risk management precautions put in place to ensure the safety of all participants. If there is something we can do to support your engagement in OneCamp, please get in touch as soon as possible by emailing onecamp@scoutswa.com.au.
