Chief Commisioner Applications

Scouting in Victoria is built on strong leadership and we are now preparing for the next chapter. With Rod Byrnes’ second term as Chief Commissioner coming to a close, the Advisory Committee (ADCOM) is inviting applications for the role of Chief Commissioner of Victoria.

This is a pivotal leadership position for our Movement. The successful applicant will play a key role in shaping the future of Scouting in Victoria, supporting our members, and ensuring that Scouting continues to thrive across the State.

The appointment will initially be for a term of three years, with the possibility of one extension at the discretion of the Branch Executive Committee.

Applications should include:

  • A brief cover letter
  • A response to the key selection criteria (maximum 2 pages)
  • A curriculum vitae outlining relevant Scouting, professional and other experiences and qualifications
  • A short 2-minute video introducing yourself and outlining the value of Scouting in a way that would resonate with an external audience. (Please note: this is not about video production skills, but about how you communicate and present Scouting outside our Movement.)
