Additional Awards
Additional awards are badges and achievements that are not part of the Achievement Pathways. Some of these awards are specific to Scouts Australia, some are achieved through completing external qualifications and awards and others are World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) awards and programmes.
These awards are completed in addition to activities undertaken for the Achievement Pathways unless otherwise specified. Activities undertaken by youth members may be part of their Program Essentials (e.g. participate, assist, lead).
Unless otherwise stated, additional awards are only for youth members to achieve. Many are worn on the right sleeve as a specialist badge, and some are worn on the front pocket. The Uniform Guide for both youth members and adult members provides further advice as to what badges can be worn where and by whom.
