First Aid

Introduction

Any member of Scouting (youth or adult) may wear the First Aid badge on their uniform if they have successfully completed and been assessed as competent in a first aid course. This course must include, at a minimum, the current recognised unit of competency that is equivalent or higher to Provide First Aid.

This is a badge that can be worn by both youth and adult members.

Uniform Location

On the right sleeve as a specialist badge.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of (including issue of units of competency) from an accredited first aid course
  • Current relevancy of the qualification (e.g the qualification must be current and not expired)

Hints & Tips

There are many organisations that offer accredited First Aid courses. To check that a Registered Training Organisation is accredited to offer these courses, head to: www.training.gov.au
