Winter Gathering 2022

The Victorian Venturer Council is excited to be bringing you a unique camp for all Venturers in Victoria on July 29 – 31 at Eumeralla Scout Camp in Anglesea – Winter Gathering!

Winter Gathering is designed to be an inexpensive, but action-packed camp with the opportunity for plenty of adventurous activities, but also space to chill out and relax. It’s also a great opportunity to camp together with your Unit or District and build those bonds you can only get on camp together!

Here’s a summary of the activities we’ll have on offer over the weekend:

• Abseiling
• Archery and Hatchet Throwing
• Crate Stacking
• 4WD Trips
• Mountain Biking
• Survival Skills Workshops
• Chill Out Area with board games
• “Winter Warrior” Obstacle Course
• Shuttle Bus to Anglesea and Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie

Because it’s winter, we’ll also have a big bonfire on Saturday night, and night time entertainment including a winter themed party with DJ and music.

Units will need to be self sufficient for catering, but we will have hot chocolates and hot jam donuts available for purchase to help keep you warm!

As a unique feature just for WG, we’re also running a New Program Transition Hub – if you’ve had trouble converting your existing badges in the old Award Scheme over to the new Achievement Pathways, come and see us and we’ll help you map out what new badges you should have, and even give you those badges on the spot so you can add them on to your uniform right then and there!

All of this is for the low price of $50 per Venturer! But only until July 17, after which we’ll be adding a $10 late booking fee to the price. So make sure you get organised and book early!
