Grant Outcome – Department of Justice and Regulation’s Community Safety Fund 2017-2018

This year’s round of the Community Safety Fund grant program was highly competitive, with a total of 283 applications submitted to the Department. Of these only 110 applications were successful (around 38%).

Fortunately for Scouts Victoria, seven Scout Groups were successful and collectively we received a total of $44,213 in funding. This will go towards improving safety and security around Scout halls across the State. While the successful Groups have received initial notification from us, we will continue to work with these Groups on the funding agreement paperwork and payments so they can start their projects soon. Late last week we also sent out emails to those Groups that were unsuccessful with the relevant feedback from the Department.

Keep an eye out in Be Informed for promotion of the next significant grant program available for Groups.  Meanwhile, you can peruse the Fact Sheet – Grants for Groups.
