Jon Willis, is a distinguished Leader within the Scouts Victoria community with over 50 years of unwavering commitment to guiding and mentoring youth. Based in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, Jon has held numerous leadership positions within Scouts Victoria, demonstrating his deep dedication to the Scouting movement. His roles have been diverse and impactful, ranging from Scout Leader through Group Leader, District Commissioner, Region Commissioner to Assistant Chief Commissioner and then Deputy Chief Commissioner for six years.

Jon’s leadership was notably evident as the Camp Chief for the 25th Australian Jamboree which then, due to Covid became, VicJam 2022 and as State Commissioner of Finance and Business, where he has significantly contributed to the strategic and financial health of the organisation. Additionally, as Producer of the Melbourne Gang Show for over two decades, Jon has combined his professional expertise with a passion for integrating performing arts into Scouting, enhancing the overall experience for generations of young people.

In addition to his leadership roles within Scouts Victoria, Jon’s professional and academic achievements reflect his broad spectrum of skills and knowledge. As co-founder and Managing Director of CVP Events Film & Television, Jon has made a significant mark in specialist theatrical video and live event broadcasting. His academic background, with degrees in Arts and Business Accounting from Melbourne University and Swinburne University, respectively, and global study experiences in Japan, the USA, France, Canada, and Switzerland, have enriched his strategic approach within Scouts Victoria. Jon’s commitment to youth development is not only evident in his Scouting roles but also in his philanthropic endeavours, extending support to a range of community organisations, including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Reach Foundation, and Myeloma Australia.

Jon’s service to youth and the community was recognised with the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2018.

John de Wijn has been a dedicated member of the Scout Movement since joining 2nd Dandenong as a Cub Scout in 1960. A recipient of the Queen’s Scout Award in 1969, John continued his Scouting journey as a Scout Leader, Venturer Leader, and later Group Leader with 1st Baden Powell Park Scout Group until 2006.

John's contributions extend far beyond local Scouting. As Chairman of the Scouts Victoria Board (BEC) from 2011 to 2017, he played a pivotal role in developing partnerships with the State Government to refurbish and build new Scout facilities, including shared spaces with schools. On the National Executive Committee, John was instrumental in shaping the National Child Protection Policy and supported initiatives connected to the Commonwealth Redress Scheme.

Recognised with the President’s Award in 2013 and appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in 2019, John’s achievements highlight his significant contributions to Scouting and taxation law. A firm believer in Scouting’s role in building resilience and character in young people, John remains a vital advocate and leader within Scouts Victoria.

Greg Landgren, brings extensive leadership and governance expertise to Scouts Victoria. With a strong professional background in people management and the oversight of major business units at Telstra and other enterprises, Greg’s career has centred on sales, marketing, strategic operations, and developing high-performing teams. His commercial insight and disciplined approach to governance continue to strengthen the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

Across his many years in Scouting, Greg has contributed at every level of the Movement, from grassroots leadership to senior governance roles. His experience includes serving as District Commissioner for Boroondara District, Group Leader of 1st Canterbury, Assistant Venturer Leader, and six years as Chair of Scouts Victoria's board, as well as supporting the program as a dedicated Scouting parent. Greg’s broad involvement gives him a deep understanding of both the operational and community aspects of Scouting.

Greg has been recognised with the National President’s Award for his significant and sustained contribution to the development of young people and the strengthening of Scouting in Victoria. He remains committed to ensuring our Movement continues to grow, innovate, and provide safe, exciting, youth-led opportunities for generations to come.

Daniella Taglieri OAM

Daniella Taglieri OAM

Daniella Taglieri brings a wealth of professional and Scouting experience to the Scouts Victoria Board. With 15 years of experience as a secondary school teacher. Daniella is passionate about supporting young people’s growth and development. She has held leadership roles such as Assistant Principal, Head of School, and Head of Pedagogy, showcasing her expertise in education and leadership.

Within Scouting, Daniella has held various roles, currently Chief Commissioner her past roles include Deputy Chief Commisioner, Assistant Chief Commissioner - Group Support, Rover Advisor, and District Joey Scout Leader. A lifelong Scout, Daniella is a Queen’s Scout Award recipient and has been recognised with the Order of Australia Medal and Silver Emu.

Daniella’s dedication to youth development and community engagement makes her an invaluable member of the Scouts Victoria Board.

Sarah McGeehan brings experience across many industries, focusing on improving customer experiences and leading business transformation. She is passionate about using technology and smart processes to help organisations grow in a sustainable way.

Sarah values teamwork and creating positive work environments. Sarah enjoys mentoring and coaching, helping people develop their skills and reach their potential.

A proud advocate for diversity and inclusion, Sarah promotes equality for women and the LGBTI+ community. Her expertise and dedication make her a valuable member of the Scouts Victoria Board.

David Crundall

David Crundall brings over 30 years of experience in banking, investment, and financial markets to the Scouts Victoria Board. He has held senior management and technical roles with organisations such as ANZ, KPMG, Fosters Group, and Challenge Bank. David’s expertise also extends to commercial property investment and development, and he currently serves as Chairman of Graco Pty Ltd and an Advisory Board Member for e-Pocket Pty Ltd.

In addition to his professional achievements, David has a long-standing connection with Scouting. He has served as Group Treasurer and Cub Leader at 1st Canterbury and was also a youth member. His blend of financial acumen and Scouting experience makes him a valuable contributor to the Scouts Victoria Board, helping to guide the organisation’s growth and sustainability.

Morris Orchard

Morris has a Scouting background in youth program, adult training, strategic planning, District support and youth leadership, and has represented Victoria on a number of National forums. Professionally, he has held strategy and policy roles in the public sector and has supported not-for-profits and government agencies as a management consultant. Morris is passionate about opportunities that Scouts get from imaginative Unit programs with no limits, and the support, systems and infrastructure required for all young people to be able to consistently access this. 

As Deputy Chief, Morris supports all aspects of the organisation. He is currently working on resourcing our program at a Unit level to be the best it can possibly be.

Julia Johnston

Julia Johnston

Assistant to the State Leadership Team

Julia Johnston has been a member of Scouts since 2017.

Her time has mostly been spent as a Rover at Raisbeck Rovers, where she earned her Baden Powell Scout Award, and more recently as a Joey Scout Leader.

Julia is supporting the team by keeping us all on track in meetings and with our administration.
