The role of the Adventurous Activities Subcommittee is to provide advice to the BEC on matters pertaining to Scout Association campsites and activity centres.This will include halls used as activity centres.
The role of the Finance Subcommittee is to oversee the efficient and prudent management of the Victorian Branch’s finances and provide the BEC with advice and guidance on issues affecting the financial standing of Scouts Victoria.
The role of the New Group Facilities Support Subcommittee is to ensure that Scouts Victoria has the appropriate real property facilities required for the delivery of the Scout program throughout the State. Focus is on the building of new halls.
The role of the Group Facilities Subcommittee is to protect the real property interests and assets of Scouts Victoria by ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and by-laws; by providing a legal service in matters of property sales, purchases and lease/licence/occupancy negotiations; and assisting formations in the management and maintenance of property.
The role of the Succession Planning and Remuneration Subcommittee is to provide advice to the BEC on succession planning and the remuneration of personnel and to ensure co-ordination between the BEC, Executive Management and the State Leadership Team.
The role of the Risk Management Subcommittee is to ensure that, to the greatest extent possible, the operation of the Association’s Risk Management program supports and enhances the Association’s current objectives. More particularly, the Subcommittee is to ensure that the Association proactively reviews the Scouts’ Risk Management program to ensure material risks are managed and processes verified.
