Dive Courses with Scouts Victoria
Dive Courses
Under the instructional guidance of fully qualified Professional Association of Dive Instructors (“PADI”), Scouts can experience:
"Discover Scuba" dives - Whilst Discover Scuba Dive is not a formal qualification, it’s a great opportunity for scouts to try out scuba diving in a controlled environment to see if they enjoy it and want to do more.
Snorkelling - A 1½ day Snorkelling program developed as a group event. This concentrates on safe preparation for snorkelling and the skills you’ll need in and out of the water.
Qualifications - Scout Scuba Victoria offers various courses to become PADI qualified all the way from Open Water Scuba Diver to Dive Master. Plus there are specialty dive courses such as Wreck & Deep Diver or Underwater Digital Photographer.
Scout Scuba Victoria also offers Advanced Open Water divers who have current First Aid qualifications the chance to undertake a Rescue Diver Course. Those who have their Rescue Diver and 5 specialities can be recognised as Master Scuba Divers. And/or Rescue divers can take the first steps toward becoming a Dive professional by doing their Dive Master qualification. These courses are run on a regular, as needed, basis. All of these courses may be counted toward the various Award Schemes.
