Victorian Scout Gallantry Awards

Since the inception of Scouting in Victoria in 1908, youth and adult members have undertaken courageous acts of gallantry and heroism to assist others in dire circumstances.
Sometimes, they lost their own lives in the attempt of rescue.

Scouts Australia adopted the British awards for Gallantry and Meritorious Conduct with several awards based on the level of courage and personal risk. These are awarded on the recommendation by the Chief Scout of Australia.
