Sustainable Development Goals and Better World Framework

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) from the United Nations can help you can take action to create a better world by ending poverty, fighting inequality and addressing climate change. The SDGs replace the old Millennium goals.

The Better World Framework is the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (or WOSM) taking the SDGs and Scout-ifying them.

Neither the SDGs, nor the Better World Framework, are compulsory program elements.

However, they are available for Units and Groups to use in different ways. They are open to all Sections and can be used as:

  • SIA projects
  • Term themes
  • Community Service projects
    • Fundraising
    • Projects
    • Outreach/Profile raising of issues

What else can you think of? Let us know what you come up with! Let us know how you are using the SDGs or Better World Framework in your Program.
