Being a Queensland Jamboree, all Units from Victoria will travel together by bus.

Buses will ferry attendees to off-site activities. We’ll deploy dozens of buses daily.

Travelling to Jamboree

The contingent will depart Victoria on the 5th January 2025.

Scouts from Country areas will depart around 2am and will need to bring their own breakfast with them.
Scouts from Metro areas will depart by 6am.

We will arrive in Maryborough by lunchtime on the 6th January 2025

Travelling home from Jamboree

The contingent will depart Jamboree after the closing ceremony on the 15th January 2025.

Scouts from Metro areas will arrive in Melbourne around 6am on the 17th January 2025.
Scouts from Country areas will arrive a few hours later.

Yes, independent travel is allowed, however there is no fee rebate.

Arriving at Jamboree Independently

All Independent Youth (Scouts and Venturers) are to be dropped at Brolga Centre Maryborough ~10am on 6th January 2025.  After the contingent arrives on site, we will then bus the Independent Youth to join their Jamboree Unit.

Independent Adults can arrive directly to Jamboree site after 1pm on the 6th January. If an Independent Adult has Independent Youth with them, the youth must be dropped at Brolga Centre as above.

Departing Jamboree Independently

For traffic safety management, QLD Police have restricted traffic around the Jamboree site on the final day of the Jamboree to Contingent Buses and Emergency Services. Private traffic will not be able to access or depart the site before 9am on the 16th January.

Therefore, anyone departing Jamboree independently will need to remain onsite overnight after the closing ceremony.

Independent Youth can be collected from the Jamboree site between 9am and 10am on the 16th January 2025.
Independent Adults can depart from the Jamboree site after 9am on the 16th January 2025.
